When I first heard this song when I was playing Portal back in 2008, I was caught completely off guard. It was such a soothing, yet creepy song. The entire soundtrack for this game is brilliant, mostly ambient/drone stuff, but still brilliant nonetheless. Plus “Still Alive” is obviously the most memorable song from the game, no doubt.
Still, “Self Esteem Fund” is the song, to me, that defines this entire game: inviting, thoughtful, yet completely insane in its own way.
